Goodbye
I don't mind if your eyes can see me, if your eyes can see me I don't mind
I won't lie though your words deceive me, though your words deceive me I won't lie.
Cause it's all in my head, the words you never said
What if I said goodbye to the tears you never cried? And I will, and I will, tonight.
You won't go away, unless I don't feel you. When you reach out, I won't reach back.
You can say what you say, I don’t care anyway. I know who I am, and I know who you are.
Cause it's all in my head, the words you never said
What if I said goodbye to the tears you never cried? And I will, and I will, tonight.
I'm free when I'm without you, I believe what I am meant to do
And I see all the colors I could not see, I'm free, I'm free

Can't wait to hear this.
I love the words. Where did they come from?
Love the words. What were you thinking about when you wrote this?
Thanks! The music is written too, just need to record, which is usually where I hit a wall!
Jilly Billy,
The words to this song were directed by the theme of the music. I began to write the guitar part, and it seemed to have a bit of a somber and dissonant feel. So, the verse came to my mind of remorse or sadness, but the chorus came more as victory. The song is for anyone that has anything that holds them back from being who they truly want to be. I took the song form a 3rd person perspective, then realized, we all have these same struggles. Regrets, addictions, or anything that keeps pulling us back or making us feel we are less than we are. So, this song is telling those problems that we are in control and they will not have power over us, unless we give in. And when we don't give in, we are free. Long explanation!!
